The project is part of the intervention of redevelopment of areas which, up to ten years ago, were occupied by the coastal railway line. The size and characteristics make this intervention one of the most significant opportunities for urban, environmental and landscape renewal of the city of Sanremo.
The area is currently used as an outdoor public car park, almost all paved with asphalt and with little green areas.
The largest urban park, the cycling-pedestrian track – that binds longitudinally all exterior parts – and the large square represent the distinguishing features.
The design choices are specifically designed to upgrade the entire site and deliver the city a large area, where to enjoy the greenery, stroll along the waterfront, cycling, enjoy water games and water lilies, as well as discover a “garden of perfumes”, all away from cars and traffic.
There will be a completely underground parking for about 800 spaces.
